Everyone wakes up in the morning for a fresh start to camp. All participants have breakfast as well as other meals all together. On Shabbat, campers have the opportunity to sleep later.

Betarim have all their meals in the well-kept Cheder Ochel (Dining Hall). On the last day and sometimes other meals, campers have the opportunity to eat outside in the fresh air al fresco. Every cabin must be cleaned thoroughly every second day. The purpose of this is to keep our living conditions sanitary and “livable” as well as to teach the value of taking care of ones’ self and property. Responsibilities for this activity lies with the campers, under the supervision and with the help of the leaders. Jobs are usually rotated among members of the bunk and there is a set of standards to be reached. The health and safety of the campers is contingent on a clean bunk. Inspections are made regularly by the leaders. Cabins that receive a perfect score get a special treat.

Campers have the opportunity to participate in a variety of sports, discussion-based and arts/cultural activities everyday.

Free time is limited during the day. Although the camp program is very structured, campers do have ample time during the day with their friends for games and fun together.

Campers have the opportunity to participate in a variety of sports, discussion-based and arts/cultural activities everyday. Most camps have a special sports session each day as well as a chug (elective) period. Chugim can include photography, media, dance, drama, teva (nature), sports, cooking, and visual art.

Several special events are scheduled throughout each camp according to the theme. A creative team has been especially delegated to make sure each camp will be unforgettable.

Hebrew is infused throughout the day at Betar Camp. Leaders use songs, games, and fun activities to teach campers.

Evening programs are always creative and exciting. They generally run along a few general themes, where leaders plan activities for all the campers or for small groups.

Campers go to bed at times appropriate to their age. Lights out is based on all campers getting a minimum of eight hours of sleep a night. Leaders have rotating overnight duty, and the medic is always on standby from lights out until wake-up the next morning.
