Welcome to Machane Mi Ma’amakim!
Betar QLD is so happy to announce our summer camp, MACHANE MI MA’AMAKIM (meaning “from the depths”)!
From the depths of isolation we are so thrilled to be back in action this summer with incredible activities!
Due to the challenging year we have had, our camp will be run as multiple day camps for years 2-9 and an overnight camp for years 10-12. While it’s not what we’re used to, you can still expect the exact same ruach (spirit) and fun as you usually would on a Betar camp!
Camp for Juniors (grades 2-9) will be run over 4 days – on the 3rd & 4th of January in Brisbane and 11th & 12th of January in the Gold Coast. Each day will be jam-packed with peulot (activities), games, outings and loads of time for your children to hang out with all of their friends! These days will run from 9 am to 4 pm and we ask that your child brings lunch with them.
Camp for Seniors (years 10-12) will be run on from the 5th to 7th of January in Brisbane. This is intended to be an overnight camp but if you feel uncomfortable with your child staying overnight we understand and are happy to try to make sure that you and your children have the best camp possible.
Drop off and pick up for our camp will be in the south of Brisbane, near Carindale, for the Brisbane portions of camp and in the Labrador area for the Gold Coast portion of camp. For security reasons we are not releasing the exact addresses however they will be sent out to those who have signed up in the days leading up to camp.
Year 11 and 12’s will also have the opportunity to participate in Kinnus, which is our AGM that is usually held right after fed camp. More details to come soon!
We look forward to making many new memories with all of our campers, old and new!
Finally, we are acting in accordance to AZYC guidelines and government regulations. We will be keeping our eyes open for any changes and update you accordingly.
We can’t wait to see all your smiling faces very very soon,
Daniel & Alon
